Who gave them PERMISSION to create such a CRAP series?!?
One of the world's most respected persons, deserves a series that matches his dignity and talks to his legacy. There should be a high budget series, that covers his life story over multiple seasons. It is impossible to cover Madiba's story in an immensely complex political situation in just 6 episodes like they do, with a low budget. This series is disrespectful to the people of South Africa!
The top 4 actors are NOT South African and are busier focusing on their terrible accents then the actual acting.
The series is a sequence of events. There is very little story writing where you actually understand the story, the context and feel any emotions that need to go with the events...
The camera moves and shakes and pans out and in and is annoyingly distracting, and at times very amateurish.
A great series should have NO room for bad acting. And in this series a lot of the additional actors act bad.
Lawrence fishburn does Not look like Madiba, he is too fat and too big. His hair is done badly. He plays a young Mandela whilst he looks 60....
The music, soundtrack, end title and during the series is incredibly bad. Sometimes you feel you watch a news channel, at other times you listen to music usually used for porn movies...
Overall, the locations, the events and overall intentions will make you cringe if you know the actual events and people involved.
There is a need of a high budget series in strong detail, with South African Actors and South African producers.
