Trivia

In mid-2017 the British tabloids reported that Queen Elizabeth II had watched the series on the insistence of her son Edward Wessex, and reportedly "really liked it, although obviously there were some depictions of events that she found too heavily dramatized. Claire Foy later stated she was skeptical of the rumors. During Elizabeth's 2017 Christmas address she referenced and included a clip of her first televised address, an event recently depicted in The Crown: Marionettes (2017). See more »

Goofs

In reality the Queen and Princess Margaret were almost the same height. Whilst Claire Foy is of similar height to the Queen, Vanessa Kirby (Princess Margaret) is almost 4 inches taller. In a scene of them walking together, Kirby has flat shoes to offset the height difference. See more »

Acting at its finest
4 November 2016 | by See all my reviews

Where to start is very difficult when it comes to what I can only describe as an amazing feat of production and acting. The cast are absolutely outstanding and are nothing but professional.

You can tell a lot of effort has been put into the research and accuracy of the story line. The attention to detail also has to be credited.

I can't find a fault and believe me I've tried. Having watched previous biopics/Dramas regarding royalty I will have to put this at the Top and that is including The Queen which again I would rate at 10/10.

In summery a must watch if you are looking for a great piece of production and a stimulating story line. I would recommend this to anyone.
