When a young Imam struggling with his deteriorating mental health develops an addiction to sleeping pills, he discovers even love can't save him in distinguishing fantasy from reality, which leads to disastrous consequences.
Although Musa daydreams of going to culinary school, he fulfills his obligations as the newly appointed Imam at the Masjid his late father co-founded. He struggles with insomnia and when his doctor refuses to refill his sleeping pill prescription, Musa makes illegal arrangements with a shady acquaintance, Lucky, to continue the supply. Meanwhile, entrusted by his neighbours Adam and Idrees to look after their sister Maryam, while they return to their homeland to care for their sick father, the couple fall in love. Musa and Maryam wrestle with whether her family will overlook his complexion and accept the couple's connection. When Musa finally gives himself the freedom to love, he has difficulty enjoying the new relationship due to his deteriorating mental health. As Musa's grip on reality is threatened further, and with a local detective investigating misdeeds as caused by his dependency, Musa makes a mistake that he can't take back - not even in his dreams.Written by
