The big terrorist incidents that stick in my mind growing up are the two World Trade Center attacks, Oklahoma City and Columbine. And according to 'Terror at Home and Abroad', the '70s were a fertile period for this method of violence as a means of persuasion; airline hijackings, Northern Ireland, the Olympic games, Hearst, Arafat, Khomeini . . . it was all over the place. It's not like the miniseries has been sunshine and lollipops up to this point, but this episode is wall-to-wall carnage and unsmiling news reports.
As grim as it gets.
