Did You Know?
It is a known fact that after the infamous "Montreal Screwjob" where his brother Bret was disgraced out of the WWE, Owen wanted to go to WCW with the rest of his family, but the WWE refused to release him from his contract. According to this documentary, after the incident in Montreal, Owen was more than happy to return to the WWE, although this claim goes against the loyal, honest kind of person Owen was. The WWE changed the story as had they been honest, they would look bad. This is an example of why Owen's widow, Martha, didn't support this documentary, as she feared he would be exploited. Bret Hart frequently accuses Martha of disrespecting Owen, but he never said a word about the WWE changing Owen's character to suit their own agenda. See more
