Did You Know?

The code Jarvis enters into The Jitterbug (a non-lethal concussive device) is 342434. Due to Howard Stark being a notorious womanizer, these numbers are in fact a famous woman's measurements (34 inches - 24 inches - 34 inches). The AMA (British Association of Model Agents) uses these specific dimensions (and a height of at least 5'8") as a recommend template for their models. See more »

In several scenes in Stark's lab there is a sign for Castrol Oil hanging on the wall. The treatment of type is representative of 1960s and later; the sign should have a script treatment instead of the block letters. See more »

Edwin Jarvis: Allow me to present the Jitterbug, a nonlethal concussive device with a blast field of 170 degrees.
Peggy Carter: Howard couldn't spring for the other 190 degrees?
Edwin Jarvis: When we waltz into this trap, I believe we may be outnumbered.
Peggy Carter: I believe we can count on it.
Edwin Jarvis: If, or when, that happens, you will want to stand behind me, like so, then I simply enter the sequence and...
[he demonstrates the tool's operation]
Edwin Jarvis: ...we watch our assailants cut a rug. As it were.

This needs a woman's touch
26 July 2017 | by jhudson-11704See all my reviews

The interrogation of Dottie Underwood was definitely the highlight of this episode. First, she easily handled Vernon, even with all of his boasts about being great at it. Her saying that she's pulled out her own teeth and burnt herself was truly terrifying and the fact that she said it in such a calming voice with a smile on her face is what makes her such a tremendous villain.

Then there is Whitney Frost. She was able to break her with her touch with zero matter. After seeing the composure and strength of Dottie being taken apart by another unassuming woman such as Whitney, it really shows how dangerous and terrifying Whitney is.

The trap set by Whitney was a great twist as she was after Wilkes, not Carter. I loved Jarvis' device that he used to help them. The delayed reaction was hilarious as he kept fretting over the numbers, associating them with famous actresses.

Whitney shooting Ana was a true shock and I cannot wait to see how this affects Jarvis in the rest of the season. James D'Arcy needed more than being Carter's sidekick and this might be the kick that gives him his chance. I did love his conversation with Carter about her interests in Wilkes and Sousa. It was awkward but still amusing.

I also love the quick mention of the arc reactor as it goes in tandem with the quick shot in episode 3 of the design of the arc reactor in the window.

+ Dottie withstanding Vernon but not Whitney + Whitney keeps getting worse and worse (in a good way) + The trap and twist + The future of the Jarvis couple

Final Score: 9.1/10
