The Search for Haider
7 September 2016 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

River grows more and more sullen and commiserates on his failures, which seem to outweigh his successes. If the "ghosts" he talks to are manifestations of his mind, he is guilty of some bad judgment. In searching for Stevie's killer, he must investigate every avenue. When he suspects her of having a love relationship with a Somali man, he gets genuinely jealous. We know he had a thing for her, but now he feels betrayed because they were so close and she kept things from him. He has a natural buffer, however, because often the people he is pursuing don't wish to have contact with the police. In this episode there are some things that develop that are really close to home and would lead one to want to watch the ensuing episode. Once character in particular is very suspicious. River also begins to seek help for his demons.
