Storyline

Having received his psychiatric report River discovers that Stevie had a second phone. It reveals calls from the ex-convict brother she helped put away Jimmy, but he had an alibi for the time of her death. However there is evidence to suggest she led a somewhat risqué double life and River's partner Ira is perturbed that River is keeping facts from Chrissie. The latest manifestation is Jordy Merton, a site foreman who died in suspicious circumstances and whose wife River spares from learning about his secret. The more menacing manifestation of Cream, however, starts to appear more frequently. Written by don @ minifie-1

Quotes

Thomas Cream: [appearing] You are a good liar, Inspector. I shouldn't be surprised, as your entire profession is formalized curiosity. Poking and prying into other's deception has prepared you well for your own. "10,000 pounds," That's some "Chinese." But beware, Inspector. Your greatest deception is to the self.

If you were not depressed before you started watching....

Brilliant TV.

This reviewer recently penned a review of a recent episode of MARVELS AGENTS OF SHIELD, arguably one of the hottest shows on the small screen, arguing that, in spite of appearances, the show is not about aliens or technology or mutants or special effects, it is about relationships.

And then, from the other side of the pond we have this wonderful show which, despite outward looks, is not about police work or even about chatting with the dead, it too is about relationships.

Against one of the most dreary and cynical backdrops I have ever seen.

Never mind the overcast skies, the lack of sunlight, and the endless stream of frowning faces. Look at the clever use of flickering fluorescent bulbs. Medically, depressed individuals are likely to have a secondary syndrome that is worsened by the flicker cast by these bulbs. The director and writer know this. But the viewer only gets to "feel" it.

Great TV. If you have an existing case of clinical depression, check with your doctor before watching.
