Vaughn shot that idea down and edited it down to two hours and twenty-one minutes.

This was the third film of 2017 to feature the song "Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver. The other films to feature the song were Alien: Covenant (2017), and Logan Lucky (2017) (which also stars Channing Tatum). The director, Matthew Vaughn, was shocked when he found out about how popular Denver and his songs had become in 2017 films, with him saying he "...wrote John Denver into the script two and a half years ago thinking 'No one really talks about John Denver anymore.'"

This Kingsman movie, the series a modern take on James Bond, pays homage to the original master spy in its sequence in the Italian Alps. In the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), a mountain top lair, filmed in Schilthorn, Switzerland, is accessible via cable car. The location bears a striking resemblance to the scenes filmed at Skyway Monte Bianco in the Italian Alps in Kingsman, also accessible via cable car.

After the fight in the London black cab, Eggsy jumps in the driver's seat and engages "Drift Mode." The extensive transformation undergone is as follows: Suspension is lowered, increasing handling ability by lowering the center of mass. Hubcaps are ejected, revealing multi-piece BBS RS wheels. This reduces unsprung mass and allows the brake calipers to cool more efficiently. The automatic transmission lever retracts into the center console and, in its place, a complex mechanism with two levers (sourced from a rally car) rises up. The tallest lever is a hydraulic handbrake used for initiating quick turns at speed. The other lever is the shifter for the sequential transmission.

At the wedding scene at the end of the film, Harry claims that one of their founding agents once said "this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning". This quote was famously said by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, seemingly implying that Churchill was involved in the founding of Kingsman.

According to Mark Strong and Matthew Vaughn, Merlin was going to survive the mine explosion at the cost of his legs. The ending allegedly involved him humorously crawling through the door of the diner after Whiskey's death to ask Eggsy and Harry for assistance, and then showing up at the wedding with prosthetic legs. Vaughn decided to cut these scenes after test screenings, as he explained that the audiences felt "cheated" when Merlin's emotional and heroic last stand was reduced to nothing more than a joke.

During the wedding scene at the end of the movie, Eggsy is wearing Royal Marines ceremonial (number 1A) dress, apparently in the rank of Major General (which stretches the bounds of belief even given his circumstances).

His medals are; the Distinguished Service Order and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal. On the opposite side of his chest, he wears the General Service Medal (1962), most commonly awarded for service in Northern Ireland during 'The Troubles' (1969-2007). Wearing it on this side of the chest denotes that the medal is not the wearer's but that of a very close relative - in this case, obviously Eggsy's father.
