Storyline

Who Will Write Our History tells the story of Emanuel Ringelblum and the Oyneg Shabes Archive, the secret archive he created and led in the Warsaw Ghetto. With 30,000 pages of writing, photographs, posters, and more, the Oyneg Shabes Archive is the most important cache of in-the-moment, eyewitness accounts from the Holocaust. It documents not only how the Jews of the ghetto died, but how they lived. The film is based on the book of the same name by historian Samuel Kassow. Written by Katahdin Productions

Poland's WW2 history was rewritten by Soviets and the distortion continues...
16 October 2019 | by ytk-174-539191See all my reviews

Another reviewer writes, "It appears that Poland has been attempting to evade its historic responsibility for the Warsaw horrors." The "horrors" to which he refers were inflicted by Nazi Germany on all Polish citizens, both Christians and Jews. For decades, Poland was closed behind the Iron Curtain and its history deformed and dictated by the puppet masters in Moscow. By alleged evasion the reviewer apparently alludes to Poland's IPN law which aims to protect against distortion of the very kind propagated by this reviewer/armchair historian who obviously needs a lesson about Poland under German occupation. This sentence is defamatory especially to those whose families suffered at the hands of the Germans in Warsaw and throughout occupied Poland.
