Seldom Realized

This one is almost a bottle episode. After Joni's narrow escape, Mac drives for five hours and checks into a motel at the edge of the highway. He tells the Broker that he cannot protect him and his wife.

However Mac and Joni have a different definition of lying low. Apart from the various rows, attracting unwanted attention with Mac going swimming in a dilapidated swimming pool. Really this was not the best choice of a motel to hideaway from the world.

Mac strikes up a friendship with the motel manager who is going through hard times but at least is philosophical about his lot.

Suggs and the Broker easily figure out where they got to. Maybe driving for five hours on the highway and booking at the motel in the edge of town is not much use if you are going to then phone your workplace.

However this is a character piece, Mac tells Joni everything. All about Arthur, how he died and his deal with the Broker and why she is in danger. At least the truth has been told and Joni and Mac move a step forward.
