Village policeman Franz Eberhofer can't find peace. There's always something going on, even in the deepest Bavarian province of Niederkaltenkirchen, where Eberhofer carries out his job as a law enforcement officer with his typical Bavarian relaxed attitude. But that's all over in an instant: Franz's on-off girlfriend Susi has left him without further ado to start a new life with her Italian admirer in his pizzeria on Lake Garda. Because Franz isn't ready to confess. There's also the unpleasant matter of Küstner, an escaped psychopath who is out for revenge. At the top of his list: Franz's superior Moratschek, who panics when he finds a bloody pig's head in his bed at night. Moratschek declares Franz his personal bodyguard and quickly moves into the Eberhofer farm for his own protection. Fortunately, Franz can rely on his friend Rudi Birkenberger - as always.
