Bosch goes into the pit. He is starting to step on the serpent's tail. The Russian mob is mixed up in the murder of Allan and Harry is getting to the bottom of it. He is so fearless. It would seem that reckless would be a better term. We know that he was a tunnel rat in the war and faced horrors around every corner. We also focus on George. He is under cover, but to what extent. The big boys know that the crooked cop he works with is just part of an organization and George has been hand-picked to try to get to them (whoever they are). While in Vegas, our boy visits his daughter. His ex, Eleanor, is acting erratically. She is a professional gambler and is in with some high rollers. Her husband, who sets her up professionally, is Asian and is off in Hong Kong doing whatever. There are hints the marriage is strained and Maddy is in the middle of it. Well acted but slow moving.
