Trivia

The largest geomagnetic or solar storm in history was the Carrington event in 1859. Power surges in wires were so strong that telegraph systems all over the world were disabled. There were cases of telegraph operators being shocked by the discharges, which even started fires. Telegraph pylons threw sparks. Some telegraph operators could continue to send and receive messages despite having disconnected their power supplies. Auroras were observed all over the world; places as far north as Queensland in Australia and sub-Saharan Africa, and as far south as the Caribbean. Those over the Rocky Mountains in the U.S. were so bright that the glow woke gold miners, who began preparing breakfast because they thought it was morning. People in the northeastern United States could read a newspaper by the aurora's light. If the solar storm mentioned in the episode was even close to the same scale, it would have probably put out all communications and electronic media across much of the world, as well as killed power across the entire US. Quotes

Alex Danvers: Damn it! Kara is relying on me! She has always relied on me. Ever since you sent her here. I'm sure you had hoped that she would find people that would take care of her. Who would love her like she was their own. I did. I only wish I had been a better sister to her when she first got here.
[softly:]
Alex Danvers: I can't...
[voice breaking:]
Alex Danvers: I can't even imagine it... now... I used to resent her...
[nods]
Alex Danvers: for coming into my home. For following me around at school. Some strange girl... who didn't know how to fit...

Gets Better and Better..

A parasitic alien attaches itself to Kara and traps her in a world where Krypton was never destroyed, leaving Alex, Hank and the DEO to fend off a Kryptonian attack without her. This episode was actually based on a Superman comic that went by the same name but with a different villain in it and was also appeared in an episode of Justice League Unlimited. Plus for the time time we get a much more closer look to Krypton but also even to a young Kal El who was meant to become Superman once plus Chyler Leigh's perfomance? Amazing all around.
