I have seen many people rave about how fun this game is, and I did enjoy it a bit, but take away the silly visuals and you are left with a typical beat em up game that plays rather slowly. It is also plagued by the typical arcade beat em up things such as hard to kill bosses that are almost impossible to damage, being totally surrounded and beat down by the enemy if you are playing solo and power ups that are helpful, but do not always appear where they should and where they can help.
So, the story has items stolen from the baseball hall of fame so the Ninja Batmen are out to save the day! That is pretty much it as you have skits in-between levels to show your progress and which tells you where you are going next.
The game play is standard, you have your attacks, a jump and when you combine the two buttons a super attack that, of course, drains your life. You have four Ninja Batmen to choose from, each with their own move set, so there is at least that. They also each have a unique attribute such as being stronger, faster and the like.
So, it was okay, but I do not get what all the hype is about. I played a beat em up called Violent Storm a couple of weeks ago and it was so much better, mainly because it played fast! This one just played very slowly and if it did not have the goofy visuals I would say it was a below average beat em up. The game was scarily accurate on how the United States looks though...
