Storyline

The Nod follows and interweaves the unique stories of individuals from various social circles in a lower-middle-class, urban setting. In a format of short sketch comedies, they go about their daily lives, in a cloudy gray city that begs for social barriers and bubbles of self-consciousness to be broken. Each tableau presents borderline outcasts who instigate the ethnocultural phenomenon that many will recognize as "The Nod." This short-and-sweet journey is a mosaic of community and culture that celebrates - and, in a self-deprecating "nod," pokes fun at - colors and cultures. Written by American Indian Film Festival
