Frank and Penelope

The little puzzles of the story do not fit neatly in a frame, but through its frequent twists, the movie invites the viewers to change angles and play with the characters in their heads.

The general atmosphere is like in those B-movies of the 1970s that mocked the secluded hippies and their utopia. I like this sort of cynical and funny, Coen Brothers' sort of perspective on human nature (i.e. Fargo). The movie reference to Thelma and Luisa is just a diversion.

I don't know what the young audience is watching, but I am fed up with the geriatric Hollywood of Pacino, De Niro, and Stallone. So the actors here offer a much more pleasant (sexy) look.
