The evil encroachment of Reality-TV into the domain of scripted entertainment took a nasty turn with Adam & Eve's series "Adult Stars at Home". This first installment, from specialist in "reality" content like "Sex Across America" Luc Wylder, is a bummer.
That's because there's precious little reality to the crypto-documentary approach used, certainly saving a buck in terms of hastening the demise of the screen writing profession but turning out to be bogus b.s.
The four couples include two real-life married duos: Voodoo & Nicole Sheridan plus Cheyne Collins and Chennin Blanc. They show us around (via Luc's first-person camera) their humble abodes, and chatter mindlessly to fill time, none of it believable as a window into their private life. The other two segments are merely some porn star inviting over another porn star and humping, hardly worth recording for posterity.
Luc tries to lend a semblance of not-just-porn to this filler, by having sex scenes interrupted by the players before a money shot, so they can repair to a different room and start over. I kept waiting for an interesting or novel moment to occur, but in vain. Package is merely sex workers, some of them related to each other, doing what they do best in order to receive that all-important A&E paycheck.
