You, Me and the Apocalypse: What Happens to Idiots
21 May 2016 | by See all my reviews

The fourth episode and you now expect the series to hit its stride but I began to lose interest. The series is just meandering its way in its various worldwide locations..

Ariel persuades by Spike into hacking FaceChaser but he wants to use this to find Layla.

Jamie finds his catatonic birth mother and escapes with her from her care home.

The cops track Rhonda and Leanne to their hideout but they still manage to escape as Leanne gets the cops to put them selves in the trunk.

Two shady operatives introduced in the previous episode on the trail of Father Jude who saves a man from jumping.

Ariel and his companion learns of the Project Genesis bunker and that Spike is the nephew of the man who came up with the plan. It all leads to Ariel's companion to wonder if a higher plan is at work, but Ariel shoots him dead.

We know that there is a bond between the various characters but it all feels a little inconsequential and dull. I am hoping the next set of episodes have more shape to them.
