MA is a striking modern-day vision of Mother Mary's pilgrimage through the eyes of Ma (played by Celia Rowlson-Hall), a woman who must venture across the scorched landscape of the American Southwest to fulfill her destiny.
A vanity piece with one or two interesting scenes, the rest shallow
I am all for low budget and minimalist films. But good storytelling, even that attempting the surreal involves some kind of narrative structure. The incoherence of Ma makes viewing it a hollow experience.
