Hurled back in time to the Revolutionary War by Katrina's spell, Abbie must convince the then-Ichabod that she's there to help him while Katrina enlists the Headless Horseman to aid her in her vengeance.
I love Nicole Beharie, but in a few of these, she lacks and becomes INCREDIBLY annoying. Sometimes in her talking, she becomes SO nasally.
In this episode, they wrote the character of Abbie WAY, too strong - too strong willed for when in time this takes place. The writers should have been better about writing her part. As a woman of color, I can say this with most assurance - a woman of color would have been more careful in speaking to Caucasian men. As well-educated as the character of Abbie is, she would have known how important it would be to the mission of her being there and not being so ... herself, her way-too-opinionated-for-colonial-times self.
