Did You Know?

Trivia Got it's start on a road trip from Milwaukee to San Jose. Mark Martino, the screenwriter, and his friend Greg N. were driving across Nebraska. They talked about jobs, money, and such. Greg said that he didn't want to make a lot of money. What he wanted was a magic wallet. The wallet would always be empty, except when he saw something he wanted to buy. Then, the wallet would have exactly the amount of money he needed to buy that thing. Martino never forgot that trip or the magic wallet idea. Decades later, after he had written over a dozen feature length screenplays and pitched them, he wrote a screenplay based on the magic wallet. After years of not getting funding to produce The Wallet feature, he wrote a 20 minute version. That still didn't fit the available budget so he wrote a 10 minute version. He then hired a crew and actors and with the help of his wife and friends produced and directed it. See more »
