an incoherent mess of an episode, but has some charm

Warning: Spoilers
There have been episodes of this show that have been this bad, one was even worse, but I just couldn't buy anything that was happening in this one.

Carl's arc this episode was really obnoxious and over the top and horribly written.

Lip's teaching arc came out of nowhere and really doesn't fit the character at all. He has wanted to go into robotics, but all of a sudden he became a teacher? When? Why? It betrays the promise the writers made to the audience when he first went to college.

Frank was completely out of character. Since when does he care about anyone other than himself? This whole thing with Bianca was fun last season, but his whining and complaining was incredibly annoying. The scene where he goes to confession and the montage of him exploring other religions was incredibly stupid and ridiculous - so much more than the show usually is. Also what was with his short encounter with the statue of Jesus?? Will that actually be explained? Either way, I it really didn't work.

The scene at the Alibi was laughable (not in the intended way). The Hipster mob doesn't work at all and is completely unnecessary. I really wasn't buying that Kevin would actually tolerate these people. I am really not caring for the gentrification subplot.

I'll admit, this episode did have some redeeming qualities. I really like Svetlana's character and the actress and can't wait to see more of her arc. In the end, this episode was so incoherent and strange, it had its own charm similar to a 'so bad it's good' movie.
