Sight: The Story of Vision

What an incredible documentary! Until watching this film I had no idea how much we take for granted our sense of sight. So many people suffer from vision impairments and this film explains in great detail the anatomy of the eye and what different diseases look like. The documentary features many different prominent people in the field of vision who give insight into the negative impact of untreated vision ailments around the world. What was also very interesting was that the documentary highlighted the numerous innovations and scientific breakthroughs currently happening in the ongoing study of vision. It was amazing to see the technology created to help give sight to people who are completely blind. The documentary presents the viewer with an unbelievable amount of information but it is presented in a very straightforward and easily understandable way. I learned so much from this film and am now realizing how grateful I need to be that I have healthy vision. Every single person in this world can benefit from watching this extraordinary and unique documentary!
