Shiori Igawa tells Sheriff Longmire that her grandfather James had been sent to the Japanese-American internment camp during. WWII and "drafted into the U.S. Army" Japanese-American internees were not subject to the draft then, but the Army did raise numerous volunteers units from the camps, so it is not unusual that her grandfather did serve. As Henry works to make peace with the people who had depended on Hector for justice, he realizes that the bad guys are keeping an eye on him, following him. While he visits a scientist at a university, looking into some soil samples, Longmire is asked to check out a place near a Japanese internment camp. There, he finds the body of a man who was creating a museum. based on that sad event. The man had been locked in a room where he was incapable of leaving. He died of dehydration. After this, a new discovery is made in the continuing saga of Walt's wife.
