The movie is about a hot-headed guy Ramachari, who becomes a fan of Vishnuvardhan's Ramachari from Nagarahaavu after seeing the same consequences they went through. He goes to an extent to get Vishnu's Ramachari tattooed on his chest. Due to his waywardness, his relationship with his father will be spoiled to an extent where the father and son cant stand each other. Ramachari's father prefers his elder son Hari, who is docile and studious. He hardly goes to college and mostly hangs out with his friends Dattu and Chikkappa, this becoming reason for resentment of Dattu's mom. On one of his rare visits to college, he encounters Divya who is being ragged and its love at first sight for Ramachari. Divya falls for Ramachari and he prefers calling her Margarette(Heroine's character name in movie Nagarahaavu). Its beautiful first few days for the lovers and they decide to get married. The complexities of love are very much clichéd in most drama series. What this movie has done successfully, immerse the viewers into the real life obstacles each of us face when entering a new relationship. Managing expectations, responsibilities, to establish boundaries in each dynamic. That the ties that unite us are not categorically prioritized in value, rather each holds a differing importance, where love is unilaterally on the same dimension, no one is above or below. It encourages the audience to sympathize with the hero, heroine, and subset characters.
The actor is fluid in his persuasion of what most young lovers have to face, the internal struggle, with external expectation. He shouldered the movie really well. However, I am demarking the movie of the full 10/10 because: first the importance of his tattoo is not fully developed, and secondly the introduction could have been better edited. The introduction does nothing to really elaborate on the story plot, nor was it well developed for the light bulb moment for the father. The writer, director should have engaged more realistic development toward the strengthening of the character moral values. The demonization of the brother was choppy, and having a more clear presentation of the brother would have helped to create a more solid introduction which would have kept the energy throughout the movie.
Overall this was my first khanada movie, and Yash has made me a fan. Props, really liked it overall.
