Enlightening . . .

. . . and also infuriating. But I can't say I didn't expect that. The NRA is the most powerful special interest group, the biggest swinging dick in Washington, and an examination of their rule is certainly warranted. What's interesting about "Gunned Down" is that they weren't always an unyielding hands-over-ears outfit with a base of true believers; they started out teaching firearm safety to sportsmen. The dark and twisted evolution into their current state is pretty goddamn terrifying.

But if you can put aside your politics on the issue of gun violence, you'll learn something here. I'm sure even a dues-paying member would walk away cheering the lobbyist's unparalleled political maneuvering skills.
