Seg and Adam and other characters sometimes speak of distances in the universe, like in one episode about "the earth being million lightyears away". But in the last episode of season 2 good old Lobo mentions the milky way so that it seems Krypton is in the milky way galaxy. Problem: the milky way is not even close 1 million light year of diameter (ca. 105,000 ly). See more
The DC Comics logo is set in space, and embedded with red Kryptonian earth. It turns green (the color of kryptonite, radioactive Kryptonian earth) and explodes (foreshadowing Krypton's fate).
