Beni has moved to New York as a photojournalist for an Italian newspaper, but due to the language barrier, he finds himself more alone than ever. After an incident with his grandmother, Beni finds out his neighbor, Amarena, also speaks Italian. After they become acquainted, Beni offers to help Amarena with a small photography project. She wants him to take a photo of her every day for a year to see if her appearance changes. As a result, they grow closer and closer together.
