The director makes a couple of errors in describing the plot of the "Karate Kid" to Annie. He states that Mr. Miyagi fought against his own people during World War II, when in both the film and in reality, Japanese Americans were sent to the European theater and fought the Germans and Italians rather than their own people. The director also says that Miyagi's child died in childbirth, forgetting the fact that Miyagi's wife died at the same time. See more
