Goofs

When Marcy the realtor first meets Will Drake she states "I had to put my dog down. He came to me through very unfortunate circumstances." She was referring to the Harmon's' dog, Hallie, from Murder House which was in fact a female dog even though Marcy states "HE" came to me through very unfortunate circumstances. See more »

Welcome to the Hotel Cortez, where a grumpy Kathy Bates staffs the front desk. You can check in, but checking out is another story.

This was the first time I ever watched this show. Friends recommended it the last two seasons, and as I love edgy TV (GOT, Walking Dead, True Detective, etc) I tuned it in with great anticipation. I was seriously disappointed. Kathy Bates was wasted. The sets were pretty well done, but derivative of Kubrick, and ridiculously dark. I didn't find it original; ideas came from everywhere: The Hunger, Silence of the Lambs, Coppola's Dracula....blah blah. No story, no likable characters, nothing to grab my interest. When all there is to say about a movie or TV show in praise are things like "Great costumes" or "Great to hear Bauhaus and Sisters of Mercy" you don't have much going on.
