When her younger brother Charlie unexpectedly disappears into the magical, animated universe of PLAYMOBIL®, unprepared Marla must go on a quest of a lifetime to bring him home. As she sets off on a fantastic journey across stunning new worlds, Marla teams up with some unlikely and heroic new friends - the smooth-talking food truck driver Del, the dashing and charismatic secret agent Rex Dasher, a wholehearted misfit robot, an extravagant fairy-godmother and many more. Through their vibrant adventure, Marla and Charlie realize that no matter how life plays out, you can achieve anything when you believe in yourself.
Marla's passport has an issuance date of June 14, 2015 and lists her date of birth as July 11, 1996. In the opening scene, she sings that she's 18-years-old. This means that the opening scene takes place between June 14th and July 11th, 2015 during Marla's last month of being 18-years-old. The rest of the movie takes place "four years later", with the banner outside the toy fair specifically dating it as June 7-9, 2019. See more »
Was surprised when I saw the crazy low critics score, its really not too bad. As a parent I have had to endure so many bad childrens movies and I must say this was quite entertaining at times. I would say even more entertaining than lego movie 2.
