Storyline

Jason Bourne is again being hunted by the CIA. It begins when Nicky Parsons a former CIA operative who helped Bourne, who went under and now works with a man who's a whistle blower and is out to expose the CIA's black ops. Nicky hacks into the CIA and downloads everything on all their Black Ops, including Treadstone which Bourne was a part of. And Heather Lee, a CIA agent, discovers the hack and brings it to the attention of CIA Director Dewey, the man behind the Black Ops. He orders Parsons be found and, hopefully, Bourne, too. Goofs

The Strip in Las Vegas runs 4.2 miles from Russell Rd. in the south to Sahara Dr. on the north end (although some people include the nearby Stratosphere in the run adding another 2/10ths of a mile). A high speed chase as shown in the film would only last 4-5 minutes at maximum, assuming speeds of 60-70 mph minimum, and the drivers not stopping for red lights nor traffic. The chase shown in the film could not have occurred as it would have resulted in Bourne and his pursuers running out of "Strip" before they could bring it to conclusion with a crash. See more »

User Reviews

Quite enjoyable,if not flawless. (spoiler-free)
4 September 2016 | by anish-25809See all my reviews

This film is quite good to be honest.Despite many problems, and a regurgitated plot being one of them,I have found this film to be really enjoyable.Matt Damon returns in the titular role after 9 years, and this time he's embroiled in a cat and mouse game played out at international locations. The camera-work is quite blurry, and dizzying at times. The action scenes are the greatest pro, especially the car chase in Las Vegas.Damon delivers a good performance but Alicia Vikander steals the show.Tommy Lee Jones is good to see too, nice to see that he is undertaking action films even at such an old age.The locations were chosen quite wisely.

On the downside, character development is kept to a minimum. There is a half-hearted attempt to tackle the timely topic of government surveillance versus citizen privacy. No scene lingers for more than 5 seconds.

I give this film a 7.While it does not match up to the original trilogy,it succeeds as a fun time at the movies.
