- Box reconstructs Naz's whereabouts on the night of Andrea's death, Stone looks into other potential suspects, and Naz is pulled further into the murkiness of prison life.
- John Stone shines UV light on his feet. Then he lectures, his kid's school class, on what he does as a defense attorney. The students are not impressed, and later his son is embarrassed by the show.
Freddy shows Naz to his new private cell on the mezzanine floor.
Chandra Kapoor is waiting when John gets to his apartment. Kapoor needs help, he suggests $50,000, she offers $20,000. They settle on $30,000.
The DA and her team brainstorm the defense strategy. The drugs are an issue.
Kapoor says they found ketamine in Naz's pockets and is puzzled. Stone explains it is an aphrodisiac before it knocks a person out.
Det. Box tells the DA he is retiring after 33 years. Before he leaves, she asks him to trace Naz's steps that night, he agrees.
The Pakistanis ask Samir to charge Naz with GTA to get the taxi back.
Naz is taken from his cell. In the showers Freddy is there with a nude and bloody Calvin. Naz gives him a kick in the stomach, then a few more, and kicks and punches to the head, until he is pulled off.
Stone retrieves Andrea's cat, and takes it with thick rubber gloves.
Box carefully logs times, checks cell records and finds video of Naz moving through the City. He draws the path on a street map of Manhattan.
Stone brings the cat home and prepares canned food, then locks it in a bedroom.
Box goes to the bridge view site where Naz and Andrea stopped.
Freddy comes to Naz's cell. He says Naz has some secrets, some rage, and likes him for it.
Stone and a woman lie in bed, he says the meds are messing him up, offers her a cat.
The next day the doctor says steroids do reduce libido, but he can choose between excema and erections.
The DA interviews Trevor Williams about the night, Trevor is belligerent, the DA crosses him off the list of potential witnesses.
Naz shaves his head. He smokes and watches TV with Freddy and his crew. Freddy and Naz play chess.
Stone asks for Viagra at the drugstore, but they have none in stock, until Wednesday.
Box finds more video cameras.
John goes to a restaurant and asks the waiter for ketamine, he knows Andrea called him. With some prodding the waiter admits he gave her the drugs, and she still owed him money. Stone says he will be made to testify in court.
Stone and Kapoor go to Andrea's house, they bring an investigator who takes more photos and pokes around. The man asks about the cat, Stone admits he has it. The man checks the rear gate, which doesn't close properly, and yard. Stone offers Kapoor the cat. Kapoor wonders how much the man will cost, Stone says it is a flat rate. The man finds some blood in the backyard.
The DA sees the video of the two men leaving the cab and Andrea entering. She says it shows Naz's premeditation to get one girl.
Naz pounds the heavy bag under Freddy's eye.
The DA goes to see the Coroner. She asks him if Naz's hand wound could be caused by his hand slipping on a knife while stabbing, or cut on the broken glass. The Coroner agrees it was caused by stabbing.
Naz is bold now and changes the TV channel in the common room, the angry prisoners calm when they realize he is with Freddy.
Stone buys Viagra from a guy in a washroom.
Naz has a job stencilling walls. He is summoned to Freddy's room. Freddy explains another prisoner Petey will be getting some eightballs from his lady which Naz has to smuggle in.
Stone buys an assortment of cat toys, brings to the room and quickly closes the door. He hears the cat playing. Stone then cleans himself up, combs his hair and takes a blue pill. He goes to his favourite hooker's bar and says he's ready to go. But another richer looking customer interrupts.
The DA brings in the tox reports; MDMA, ketamine in both, amphetamine only in Naz. Kapoor also gets the reports, Stone says the they don't really know Naz. Naz practices swallowing grapes.
At Riker's Stone asks Naz about the tox screen. The defendant is defensive, Stone figures it was Adderall, which can also be a problem for the case. Petey passes Naz four speedballs which he palms and swallows behind his hand. Naz also recounts the night and says there were two men outside Andrea's house, not one. Stone has noticed the speedballs and warns Naz the case is over if he is caught.
In the cell, Naz has to crap into a tub front of the others, three come out easily, Naz gulps laxative to get the fourth out.
Kapoor and Stone watch the Trevor Williams interview. As he told the police he was alone they realize he was lying. At a laundromat Stone confronts Trevor. He convinces the young man to admit there was another man named Dwayne Reed.
Later, Stone calls Kapoor to confirm there is a known thug named Dwayne Reed, with an open arrest warrant. He goes to a convenience store, asks to see Reed and is eventually directed to the back. Warily going there, he sees three men playing cards. He introduces himself as Trevor's lawyer, as soon as he mentions 87th St, Reed bolts. Stone follows and grabs an iron bar, after a short chase he ends up in a dark, deserted building.
