Two and a half years after the previous episode, Carrie seems to have built a new life for herself and her daughter in a new city (Berlin) away from the CIA. The season opener set the stage for season 5, but it's only mildly exciting. We obviously knew that Carrie and Saul would be back, but their relationship has changed. For better or worse remains to be seen.
I am not a Showtime subscriber so I didn't watch "Homeland" as it was aired. I am now watching the episodes that I have and will keep looking at them. But for me, the season 5 opener wasn't as exciting as most viewers rated it. Of course I will keep looking at "Homeland".
