The Last Kingdom

I went into this series not expecting much out of it, just another show on the Netflix catalog. Holy hell, it is so much more, it's a hidden gem. There are so many characters and places to love, so many unexpected twists and some amazing action sequences. The story is so much more gripping than the shallow sludge that is pushed out by the service now. Throughout the entire run of the series there is not a single filler episode, it's all just one gripping story made even better by an amazing cast. The fact that this show didn't get nominated for an emmy is downright criminal. I really wish Netflix had promoted it more because it deserves so much more recognition.
