- Bhim kills Dushasan and arrives at Draupadi's chamber with his blood.Karna and Arjun come face-to-face, Karna defeats Arjuna for the fourth time in row and spares him, leaving him unconscious.
- Karna's biggest day in the war is about to start. Shalya continues his work to belittle Karna and telling him about how impossible it is to beat Arjun. Shalya says that even Indra cannot face Arjun in battle as all divine weapons are with Arjun now. On the battlefield, Dushasan attacks Bheem with his arrows. Bheem remembers what Dushasan had done to Draupadi in the gambling special assembly and the anger blazes within him. He remembers his vow to tear Dushasan's chest and drink his blood from it. Bheem jumps from his chariot and attacks Dushasan. Bheem and Dushasan engage in mace warfare, but soon they get into a wrestling match.
Bheem fulfills the oath he had made thirteen years ago and kills Dushasan after tearing off one of his arms. He tears Dushasan's chest and drinks his blood. After smearing his face with Dushasan's blood, Bheem does the same dance around Dushasan's dead body, that Kauravas did around Abhimanyu. He takes the blood to Draupadi for her to bathe her hair. Draupadi smears Dushasan's blood on her hair with satisfaction and for the first time in 13 years, she binds her hair in a bun.
Dhritarashtra vows not to forgive Bheem for the death of Dushasan and for insulting his death. Dhritarashtra says that this is not war, but barbarism. Duryodhan is now alone. Ashwathama advises Duryodhan to sue for peace with Pandavas. But Duryodhan rejects any such suggestions. Duryodhan says that Pandavas have killed every one of Kauravas warrior by stealth, including Bhishma and Drona, and he will never forgive them. Duryodhan orders Karna to get him the corpses of the Pandavas.
Karna attacks Arjun and gets an upper hand. The battle starts with conventional weapons, but soon both parties' resort to the use of divine missiles. He fires a divine missile on Arjun for which Arjun has no answer. Karna sends a dazzling arrow, which spits venom towards Arjun. Krishna pushes Arjun's chariot five fingers deep in the mud at the last minute, so that the shaft misses Arjun's head and only strikes his crown. Then Karna has Arjun pinned inside his chariot with his arrows. Karna is about to fire the decisive arrow, but Sun God decides to set, and Karna cannot the fire missile due to the rules of war.
Gandhari loses another one of her sons and is now mom only to Duryodhan. She remembers how Bhishma gave her the boon to have 100 sons. Today, she is the mother of only one son and doesn't know when she will lose that last son. Krishna consoles Arjun by saying that by holding his arrow (post sunset) Karna has signified that from now on, all rules of the war will be followed. Krishna tells Arjun to focus on his objective and not get distracted by side issues. Krishna says that Karna is Arjun's last target in this war.
Duryodhan is livid with Karna for not firing that arrow which would have killed Arjun. Karna says that he is bound to follow the rules of the war. Other can break the rules of war as they are protected and have families and traditions behind them. But Karna doesn't.
