Julia is parading around the precinct, claiming her actions were righteous. She is furious with Harry, thinking of his betrayal. Meanwhile, the politics are getting uglier and uglier. A black urban leader, a priest, starts to gain favors from the upwardly mobile police officials. Harry continues to investigate the picture of the boys from their old neighborhood. This leads to a six-hour trip to visit some people who used to live there. They were foster parents, so they knew a lot about what went on. Harry realizes he has made a big mistake. Waits continues his ugly attack on Harry. He leaves an ugly discovery in a dumpster, a calling card for the detective. This episode gives us clear ideas as to why Harry is so driven. Titus Welliver continues to maintain that stolid presence in the face of terrible implications.
