Not bad!

Tom Smith is not funny and the show spent way too much time thinking he was. Fart jokes can only last so long.

Even though you can tell most of it is staged they diid well at carrrying it out.

Please lose John Klump

Look as a show it grows on you, it's not the best out there but it does ok for itself, the only pitfall is this brain dead half wit they had to bring in when they lost their previous strung out painter. John your not making your mum proud out you by carrying on like a spoilt little girl scout, just stop whinging ffs, makes me wanna fly to America and slap some sense into you.

Terrible spin-off
n-m-bertin13 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know why this show exists. Tom and Jordan were fired from Gas Monkey for being incompetent (and aggressive in Jordan's case), Scott left to "launch his own thing" as he said, and now we're supposed to watch this ? Scott even lies through his teeth now, saying he left because he didn't get along with Richard and was underpaid which is utter rubbish.

Then there's Thomas. He doesn't have the business skills Richard has, so it's mostly small slow carbuilds, and a lot less exciting that what Gas Monkey Garage does. Not to mention that every chance they get they insult Richard. So unless you hate Gas Monkey Garage like these guys pretend they do (with a lot of exaggeration asked by the producers probably), I don't see any reason to watch. They don't even have a mechanic with the same vision as Aaron, they're not builders they're just mechanics (and poor ones at that).

The pace of the show is also very slow, and nothing exciting happens. Thomas and his crew are nowhere near as nice and fun as Richard and his crew, so I don't see this thing getting a second season anytime soon. Good riddance.

Great vibe
nikolaikrinitski15 April 2015
I have to say I was a little skeptical about the show, but having watched all of the season 1, I have been very pleasantly surprised. The sales point of Fast n Loud is - Richard. His flamboyant ways and bigger than life persona. Having watched and re-watched all of the available episodes of Fast n Loud I could not help but notice the change in Richard's attitude and the way he treats his workers. He started as a reasonably humble person in the first reason but as he became more famous and rich, I do believe his attitude started to change. Watching the later episodes one can notice the way his crew are not that happy working for him. The relationship is a lot colder and I don't believe Richard has much respect for the work his crew does. What I love about Misfit Garage- is the way the crew operates. Every single person enjoys their work and has a bunch of fun too. I can see that besides disagreements and occasional 'oops' moments the crew still stands shoulder to shoulder and I like the vibe that the show has. Perhaps giving 10 stars is a little generous, but when I saw the rating I believe the show deserves a better rating than that, that's why I was compelled to bump up the rating a little by giving it a perfect score. I hope it will be continued into the third season. Best of Luck to you guys!

Dumb and dumber .
paulsnaith0428 July 2019
Quite a funny spin off ,should be called the "we hate Richard " show. Just a pack of clowns getting dirty in a backstreet garage, I wouldn't let any of them change a wheel on a push bike, never mind let them build me a car! Tom ( fat one) is the star of the show, sadly not because of his mechanical ability ! Worth watching just for him, Dont bother watching if you want to learn anything about building cars, Lots of other shows out there for that, Kindig customs is one ,( I think that's its title), They probably get paid more for one episode, fooling around, than they ever did in a year ,working in the real world. It is what it is, a Richard Rawlings production.

First of all, understand that this is a Richard Rawlings co-production (read the credits). This show is the worst. Thomas Weeks cant act his way out of an expired 2 for 1 coupon and his "supporting cast" all suck ball sack. The only one ever worth a shizz was Phipps and Sue. This show is worse than fast and loud mouth and that is like saying a root canal is worse than chemotherapy. Nobody wants to watch a car show with girly men like Aaron, sissy Richard and his gay jewelry and V NECKS, or the flamboyant Dennis.

Wanna watch real men do cool stuff.......Iron Resurrection

I was skeptical at first but it has grown on me.. Much more "hands on" that fast n loud has become. I now prefer misfit over fast n loud. Fast N loud is still good However, it has become the "Richard" show and all of the outside influences of Gas Monkey (gas monkey bar n grill, concert venues) have taken over the show. Sometimes I feel like fast n loud is one long Richard commercial and has lost its way in regards to "building" cool cars. Don't get me wrong, fast n loud still makes and builds some awesome vehicles, but A lot of fluff in between. I still watch them both but Misfit Garage has better crazy characters and stays true to the premise of the show. Cheers and Enjoy all !

tired of Richard

I like Fired Up over the Richard show, without Arron the show is toast! Fired Up is a more real life show about a garage that makes a living. The mechanics are as different as in real life, they do very good work, with out just throwing money and replacing parts. America has enough parts re-placers!

It really grows on you

Warning: Spoilers
I've just finished watching the second season of Misfit Garage and I find I want more. I'm hoping there is a third season in the making sometime soon. I love watching Fast N Loud but like another reviewer mentioned, it has become the "Richard" show. Less about cars and more about Richard. Thomas, Tom and Jordan are great. More like the old FnL, more about the cars and less about Richard, who does his Executive Producer cameos in many episodes. Scott (well, what can I say?), I didn't really miss when he spat his dummy and left. I get the feeling that the big "split" between Tom, Jordan and Richard was all for the show. They still seem to be very friendly on screen. If there was a real split resulting in Tom and Jordan being sacked, I couldn't see Richard having the relationship he has with them. Was it a case of, "Let's do a spin-off, I'll sack you guys, you start a new show in competition to FnL and we'll make more television". I loved Little Richard, definitely a star in the show.

Fun show

As gas monkey evolved from skin of their teeth junk builds up to the big time SEMA show, Mattel and Earnhardt cars, Misfit, brings the view back to what made them like fast and loud to begin with. Low budget builds, lots of goofing off and likable characters.

Misfit garage takes us back to why we started watching reality automotive repair shows to begin with.

"Another Richard Rawlings Production..."
mijbril15 February 2016
And that's just fine in my book. There is no way the premise of this show is anything but just some idea that Richard had to keep the glory of Fast n Loud on it's new market as the show moves into a higher bracket of car build, but still keep touch with that initial work that Gas Monkey started with but generally don't go near (or show at least) now.

1. Thomas & Richard have known each other for years, if there is a car wheeler & dealer that Richard can trust to make good deals, it's Thomas (he wouldn't ask Dennis, he's already a millionaire & would just look for Holy Grail cars). 2. Tom & Jordan know their way around a car inside & out and Jordan always showed himself to be a conscientious employee on Fast n Loud putting in the long hours to bring a build home. 3. Tom was ridiculously popular with the viewers. How to utilize that? Give him his own show & let him shine. 3. Tom & Jordan (or Scott) don't have the bearded wonders hipster cred. 4. The format with Sue is exactly the same. 5. Richard is always coming around to see his "tenants", he does this because he's the puppetmaster pulling the strings.

If you make comparisons with Fast n Loud & expecting the same, you're making a mistake & will be disappointed. If you're taking it as a spin-off / extension from Fast n Loud that's entertaining in its own right & does all those things that Gas Monkey used to do, you'll love Misfit Garage. The guys put their heart & soul into each build, Thomas brings the market nous & it seems to be working for them, plus they have the naivety of Soup Bone to keep you amused, he's the Fire Up Garage version of the shop cat.

Very entertaining & recommended viewing.

This show is more enjoyable than F n' L
chrisarholiday22 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Misfit Garage is quite simply better TV than Fast and Loud.

The guys are struggling to raise the cash and buy parts to build the cars, and this adds to the tension and drama. The underlying storyline of trying to create a new successful business and make some cash gives this show an addictive drive.

Thomas Weeks, Tom and Jordan are the core of this show. Without either of them the show wouldn't work. Scott is not a great miss. He came across as unlikeable and rude. Austin was clearly not funny at all, despite his best attempts at being the joker.

Thomas is a very likable guy, his car deals are fun too watch, and to a UK viewer, he is as American as apple pie. He is a proper car man. No leather jacket, scarf or ripped jeans needed. Baseball cap and fleece and a magical way with words are Thomas's tools. He don't need no Dennis.

Tom is unique, a huge personality, impossible to dislike and probably the show's biggest draw.

Jordan is the master mechanic, seemingly underrated by Richard, the guy can turn metal into money. The silent assassin. He knows cars better than he knows the back of his hand, and he clearly is one of the best mechanics in Dallas right now.

I watch this show with a huge smile on my face. If you miss the early days of Gas Monkey, then this is the show to watch. Fast n Loud is still an essential watch of course, but where's the drama?

Exceptional Show
jameseichelbaum14 October 2017
After watching Fast n Loud i stumbled on this spin off show, and found that I actually prefer this show to the original. This is a good underdog series, once you start watching you find yourself rooting for them as they try to make a success of their Garage.

There is a competitive element as they try to outdo Gas Monkey Garage and it is thrilling watching the guys fight through the hardships they face to get a car ready for sale.

Like Pringles, once you pop you won't be able to stop. Very addictive

Fun show!

The crew is a bunch of likeable guys. The struggle is real in their shop and it makes the show more enjoyable imo... The builds are getting better and better with every episode. It's what Fast n Loud used to be when Aaron was still around.

works best when they just are being funny

This is a gas monkey spin-off, and works better when they dont fight, they just build whatever they buy.

Needs another season.

This, & Street Outlaws, are probably my two favorite shows
jj-747755 October 2017
I came to this show from Gas monkey Garage. I have found I don't really like Richard.

With Thomas, Tom, & the gang, they all seem like people I'd like to hang out, & spend time with. If I wanted a car built, they'd be my go to guys. My only problem is when John goes off on someone else in the shop.
