Did You Know?

The filming location for fictitious Delaney Hall was the Angel Orensanz Center, a converted Gothic Revival synagogue that, in addition to many other uses, hosts a Reform Judaism congregation. It is the fourth oldest synagogue in the United States. The building opened in 1849 as Anshe Chesed Synagogue, and was also known as the Norfolk Street Congregation. See more »

Punk Kid: [after Kilgrave interrupts a concert] Yo, you crushed it in there, man. That was like anti-rock...
Kilgrave: Stop talking.
[Turns to Albert]
Kilgrave: Dad, tell me. Are you doing everything that you possibly can?
Albert Thompson: Yes.
Kilgrave: Shit.
[Turns to the clubber]
Kilgrave: Cross the street, face that fence, and stay there forever.
Albert Thompson: Kevin, be reasonable.
Kilgrave: Well, it won't actually be forever, because it's incremental, not exponential, remember?

"I WROTE it... Surprise!"

You might as well skip to the last 15 minutes of this one. The fireworks at the end redeem an otherwise weak entry. Kilgrave is at his most cunning, and the final sequence is blood-pumping fun. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

That said, it's difficult to overlook the issues that have begun to plague the show, seemingly ever since Kilgrave got locked up. For starters, the characters are getting both more boring and less likable. Malcolm in particular is starting to border on insufferable. Both his story and Trish's are total snoozefests this week.

Still, the payoff at the end was enough for me to forgive this one.
