Circa 1969, several strangers, most with a secret to bury, meet by chance at Lake Tahoe's El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one night, everyone will show their true colors - before everything goes to hell.
A daring synthetic biologist, after a car accident kills his family, will stop at nothing to bring them back, even if it means pitting himself against a government-controlled laboratory, a police task force and the physical laws of science.
I like a good bad movie, but man, this thing is something else.. Maybe my expectations were too high with big names like Keanu Reeves. Also the plot on paper is quite interesting.
You science your family back to life because they died in a car crash to be re-united.
But please, I think you will have more fun with this going into it expecting a really bad movie. Dialogue - clunky and awkward as can be, acting - extremely wooden and unnatural ( Reeves steals the show here sadly), effects - sci fi channel has better cgi, structuring - goes all over the place...useless conversations and Reeves mumbling through the whole movie.
It really feels like a direct to dvd movie released in the 90s. Not worth your eleven bucks. If you have money to spare, give it to the homeless guy sleeping in front of the cinema. He will spend your money better.
This movie really has the potential to be the next "the room". There is nothing redeemable about it, but sometimes I had to giggle about the complete out of left field dumbness of it all.
See for yourself, maybe I'm alone in this but man....
I wish everyone the best in the world. Especially you Keanu, you weird Dogg.
Sorry for broken english
