Avengers: Endgame Tickets Already Selling Out In Some Markets

While North American Marvel fans may still be slightly over a week away from seeing Avengers: Endgame tickets go on sale, filmgoers in India have already been given the option of booking their seats, and it looks like they’ve been all too eager to take advantage of the opportunity.

Last week, Indian multiplex chain Spi Cinemas announced that tickets are now available for the Avengers: Infinity War sequel. And as Twitter user Ghokulesh‏ observed last night, theaters in South India are already starting to sell out.

Given how much hype Endgame currently has behind it, this recent turn of events is hardly surprising. Domestically, the film was projected a few weeks ago to be headed for an opening weekend haul of $282 million, which would comfortably beat the record set by Infinity War for best North American opening of all time. And with latest trailer earning 268 million views in its first 24 hours,

Joaquin Phoenix's Joker Crawls Out of Hiding, First Trailer Expected Soon

Joaquin Phoenix's Joker Crawls Out of Hiding, First Trailer Expected Soon
Todd Phillips is currently in the editing process for the Joker movie. The director shared a picture of Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck on social media as he looks at an old 1980s television set. He appears to be watching a video, with his finger on a Vcr, looking intently at the screen. As for what he's watching, that is a mystery, but he could be reviewing a part of his stand-up routine before going off the rails and turning into the Clown Prince of Crime.

The image that Todd Phillips shared now has some speculating that our first look at the Joker movie may come sooner than later. Phillips simply captioned the photo by saying, "Editing Joker." Since production wrapped back in December, there haven't been many news updates from anyone. Joaquin Phoenix is notoriously private, so we know he's not going to be out spoiling anything for DC fans,

Michelle Pfeiffer Digs Up Her Catwoman Whip 27 Years After Batman Returns: 'Needs a Little TLC'
Michelle Pfeiffer has reunited with an old friend.

The 60-year-old actress shared a look at her whip from 1992’s Batman Returns in which she portrayed Catwoman, the love interest to Michael Keaton’s caped crusader.

In a video she posted on Instagram Friday, Pfeiffer looked amused as she held up the black whip while wearing a gray sweatshirt and black shades.

“Look at what I found,” she said holding up the whip. “Needs a little TLC.”

The character of Catwoman, who was also known as Selina Kyle in the film, is close to Pfeiffer’s heart.

Marvel Fans Want Tarantino's Bruce Lee as Shang-Chi

We may have an early frontrunner for the lead role in Marvel's The Hands of Shang-Chi. It's been a pretty big week for movie news, with Bill & Ted 3 finally getting a formal announcement, Us finally hitting theaters this weekend and a whole lot more. But one of the biggest moments came when the first trailer for Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood finally dropped online. What's maybe the most surprising is that Mike Moh, who will portray legendary martial artist and actor Bruce Lee in the movie, stole the show away from Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino. Now, fans are calling for Marvel to hire him to portray their Master of Kung Fu.

After the trailer was released online, Mike Moh took to Twitter to share the first sneak peek, jokingly saying, "I think I'm in this." Once his lengthy sequence as Bruce Lee caught the internet's attention,

Disney's Acquisition of 21st Century Fox Means We Could See These Superheroes in the McU

Disney's recent acquisition of 21st Century Fox already has comic fans anticipating the films Marvel Studios is sure to churn out within the next few years. Prior to the $71.3 billion deal, the movie rights for a handful of classic Marvel superheroes - including X-Men, Deadpool, and Fantastic Four - actually belonged to Fox, which barred them from entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But now that Disney owns Fox, it's quite possible and highly likely that we'll get to see an integration of heroes that will propel the McU into its new phase of on-screen comic adaptations after Avengers: Endgame. Read on to find out which major crusaders we're hoping to eventually see on the big screen under the Marvel Studios umbrella.

Avengers: Endgame Action Figures Reveal A Major Nebula Spoiler

With Avengers: Endgame just five weeks away from release, a whole load of merchandise for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War sequel is currently waiting in the wings, including this new set of action figures shared by Instagram user Mcucollector24.

As you can see, the package shows Hawkeye and Black Widow dressed in the same Avengers uniforms that featured in last week’s trailer, along with swappable heads for Iron Man, Ant-Man and Nebula. But while the so-called “Quantum Realm suits” are a familiar sight by now, the design for Karen Gillan’s character offers one little detail that has yet to appear in the trailers.

Look closely at the left side of Nebula’s face, and you’ll notice that much of it has taken on an orange or brown hue. Though it’s unclear what this change could mean, our best guess might be that the cybernetically enhanced heroine

The Team Assembles In New Avengers: Endgame TV Spot

With five weeks to go until the release of Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios has dropped a whole load of TV spots in the last couple of days that tease the coming fight.

Much like the rest of these previews, this latest video doesn’t offer much in the way of new footage, but it at least distinguishes itself from the other TV spots by having comparatively less focus on Captain America. Sure, Steve Rogers is still in there, and gets to be the first of several heroes to deliver the “Whatever it takes” tagline. But this time, the lion’s share of dialogue goes to Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, who once more reminds us that even if there’s only a small chance that the Snap can be reversed, they owe it to “everyone who’s not in this room” to try.

It’s Super Weird That ‘Captain Marvel’ Doesn’t Have Anything to Do With ‘Avengers: Endgame’

It’s Super Weird That ‘Captain Marvel’ Doesn’t Have Anything to Do With ‘Avengers: Endgame’
(This article contains a bunch of spoilers for “Captain Marvel.”)

It’s been quite a wild past year or so for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with the completely mad cliffhanger at the end of “Avengers: Infinity War” and continuing last summer with “Ant-Man and the Wasp”– which served as a light and amusing diversion before concluding on a note that indicates Ant-Man will be very important to next month’s “Endgame.” And then we got a long, painful nine-month wait for “Captain Marvel.” We’re dying to see how this story continues, and we figured “Captain Marvel,” naturally, would be a part of it.

So last summer, we here at TheWrap wrote a bunch of speculative pieces in response to that insane “Avengers: Infinity War” cliffhanger. The most popular of those — and by far the longest at 2200 words — was about how “Captain Marvel,” hitting theaters less than two months before the then-unnamed “Avengers: Endgame,

Avengers: Endgame International Poster Brings Out Hulkbuster

Avengers: Endgame International Poster Brings Out Hulkbuster
The Hulkbuster armor is prominently featured in the latest Avengers: Endgame international promo art. Bruce Banner manned the armor in Infinity War after Hulk decided that he no longer wanted to help Banner. More than a few Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were under the impression that Hulk was scared of Thanos after suffering defeat at the beginning of the movie, but the Russo Brothers have confirmed that wasn't the case. Instead, Banner and Hulk are going through some personal issues that will hopefully be straightened out in Endgame.

The new Avengers: Endgame promo art is from Marvel Studios Hong Kong and it is a lot different from the North American poster, though it does feature some of the same elements. Earth's Mightiest Heroes are clustered in a similar manner, but with different poses and Bruce Banner is moved from the center and off to the side in the promo art,

The Avengers: Endgame Score Is Officially Complete

If there’s only one piece of original music from the McU films that you can hum from memory, then chances are it’s the main theme for the Avengers movies, composed by Alan Silvestri. Over the years, the two-time Oscar nominee has played a significant role in defining the mood of the superhero saga, and with Avengers: Endgame just five weeks away from release, it seems that Silvestri’s work on Marvel’s Phase 3 finale is now complete.

Earlier today, co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo took to Twitter with a photo of themselves and Silvestri, alongside Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and executive producer Trinh Tran. In the caption, the pair offered the following update:

“One of the greatest highlights of our career was getting to work with Alan Silvestri.

How Did the Tesseract End Up With [Redacted] in ‘Captain Marvel’?
(There are some major spoilers ahead for “Captain Marvel”)

Captain Marvel” may not have provided all that much in the way of backstory setup for “Avengers: Endgame” — which is mildly disappointing given how close were are to that climax of this first stage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But it does, of course, get us acquainted with Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), who will be an important figure in that film. It also adds an interesting new chapter to the story of the most well known of the Infinity Stones — the Tesseract — and if you’re acquainted with the Mar-Vell character from the comics then some of the liberties taken with that character here will no doubt come as a major surprise.

And no, I’m not talking about the choice to have Mar-Vell be played by a woman (Annette Bening) instead of a man, though that’s obviously a pretty cool change.

Ryan Reynolds Shares Creepy Yet Flattering Detective Pikachu TV Spot

Ryan Reynolds Shares Creepy Yet Flattering Detective Pikachu TV Spot
The latest Detective Pikachu TV spot features some funny Pok&#233mon merch. Ryan Reynolds, who voices the titular character, shared the latest look at the movie this morning and notes that he has the Pikachu bed that is seen in the new spot. The highly anticipated movie takes place in a world where the Pok&#233mon franchise is just as big as it is in the real-world, except the monsters really exist, which leads to a pretty awkward scene for Pikachu and Tim Goodman (Justice Smith).

Most of the Detective Pikachu TV spot shares footage that has been seen in the previous trailers. But, there is a scene at the end where Pikachu and Tim Goodman end up in his childhood bedroom, which features a Pok&#233mon bed with Pikachu ears. The Ryan Reynolds-voiced character is flattered by the discovery, but also admits that he is a bit "creeped out" by the whole thing.

He Looks Very Different in Us, but Yes, That's M'Baku From Black Panther

We've been mentally preparing for weeks to finally watch Jordan Peele's new scary movie Us. Besides being excited for the film's awesome soundtrack, we're also thrilled to see what this star-studded cast brings to the big screen. The lineup includes Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke, Elisabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker. In case you haven't put it together, this film is not the first time Nyong'o and Duke have collaborated. The two both starred in last year's game-changing blockbuster Black Panther. Duke played the role of M'Baku, the leader of the Jabari tribe who poses a huge threat to T'Challa in the beginning of the film. In fact, according to The Hollywood Reporter, his Black Panther role almost cost the actor his chance to play Gabe Wilson, because Peele was worried it would hinder the audience's fear response.

"It would take away from our ability to feel afraid [for the family] if they have M'Baku on their side,

Disney Already Showing Off ‘The Shape Of Water,’ ‘Avatar,’ and Other Fox Titles in Company Banner

Disney isn’t wasting any time when it comes to integrating Fox properties into its marketing following the $71.3 billion Disney-Fox merger that was finalized March 21. Major Fox properties “The Shape of Water,” “Deadpool,” “The Simpsons,” “Avatar,” and “Atlanta” have already been added to the official The Walt Disney Company banner on the company’s website. If Disney was going to prominently feature any Fox properties on its official banner, it makes sense it would do so with a recent Best Picture Oscar winner (“The Shape of Water”), a $2 billion franchise (“Avatar”), a record-breaking television series (“Simpsons”), and more.

With the Disney-Fox merger finalized, the Mouse House now owns film division 20th Century Fox and will distribute such tentpoles as James Cameron’s forthcoming “Avatar” sequels. The merger has given Disney control of blockbuster properties such as “Deadpool” and “X-Men,” in addition to their in-house mega-franchises “Star Wars” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

‘Captain Marvel’ Homing In On $900M Global Through Sunday; Tops ‘Wonder Woman’ Ww

‘Captain Marvel’ Homing In On $900M Global Through Sunday; Tops ‘Wonder Woman’ Ww
Friday Update: Disney/Marvel’s Captain Marvel hit $825M globally through Thursday as she wings her way to around $900M in the third frame. The international box office for Carol Danvers as of yesterday is $538.6M with domestic at $286.4M. At those numbers, and unadjusted, she has overtaken Spider-Man and Wonder Woman to become the No. 16 worldwide superhero release of all time.

The full third weekend should put the Brie Larson-starrer right in the neighborhood of $900M worldwide. She has some competition this weekend from Universal’s Us and then next week is in the position of facing off against stablemate Dumbo from Disney. I was one of the early skeptics about Captain Marvel getting to $1B globally, and while she won’t blast by the mark, it is likely we will be reporting that milestone has been met within the next couple of weeks. Either way, bravo.

Thor Star Chris Hemsworth Welcomes Deadpool to the McU

Thor Star Chris Hemsworth Welcomes Deadpool to the McU
Thor actor Chris Hemsworth welcomed Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a great social media post. While the Merc with a Mouth is under the Disney umbrella now, it isn't clear just where he's going to fit in. While fans would love to see the character ham it up with Thor and the rest of the crew in Avengers: Endgame or in a future McU project, it seems unlikely due to Wade Wilson's gravitation towards foul language and taboo topics.

To welcome Deadpool to the McU, Chris Hemsworth posted some fan art of the Merc with a Mouth wearing Thor's helmet while carrying a tiny version of Mjolnir. There's no way that he'd be able to lift the real hammer. In the background of this image, one can see the ominous Mickey Mouse ears looming and welcoming Wade Wilson to the fold. The Thor actor

Does ‘Captain Marvel’ Have a Post-Credits Scene?

Does ‘Captain Marvel’ Have a Post-Credits Scene?
Captain Marvel” is finally here — the last piece of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now in place ahead of next month’s climactic “Avengers: Endgame.” And just in time, too, because it’s been really tough to suffer through the longest gap between McU movies in years.

It was quite a weird wait to get to this point, too, because of how dramatically “Avengers: Infinity War” upended the entire McU when Thanos snapped his fingers and wiped out half of all life in the universe. We’ve been chomping at the bit for any kind of info about what’s coming next in “Avengers: Endgame” in April — and while “Captain Marvel” doesn’t directly tie into the fight against Thanos in “Infinity War” and “Endgame,” it does set up Carol Danvers as a character. And that’s a very good thing because she’s set to be an important figure in “Endgame.
