In one scene, Veronica Cartwright's character speaks French, saying "J'adore noël, j'adore les vacances". This translates into "I love Christmas, I love vacations". The correct French expression for "holidays" as in "Christmas" would have been "les fêtes". The character, Mrs. Saxon, was a French teacher but perhaps not a good one.
