Dean Stockwell previously co-starred with 'Scott Bakula' on Quantum Leap (1989) and he also played the Secretary of the Navy on JAG (1995), which is the series from which the original NCIS (2003) originated. See more »

The NCIS team is there since the gun was issued to a sailor. However, a few minutes later it is disclosed the serial number was filed off, so it would not have been possible to determine the gun was Navy issue at that point. See more »

The casket in tonight's episode.

After 4 decades, the casket would have degraded, and there would be nothing but bones in the grave when opened.
