Kiss Kiss, Bye Bye

This is my third time watching Killjoys and I always love the banter, the camp camaraderie and the crazy, cool characters and situations the show is known for.

But this is one of those episodes that I always pause before pressing play.

As someone who faced domestic abuse at the hands of a "loved one" I found the scene between the two characters to be particularly frightening.

Even though we think we know someone, sometimes there is a hidden demon inside that when triggered, comes out and unleashes hell and destroys any love or feelings we may have had for them.

I have utmost respect for the cast of this episode. It must have been very difficult to film this extremely personal and disturbing scene and the way the vulnerability and threat were portrayed was extremely close to the bone.

This was the episode that made me really reevaluate Killjoys and it's a testament to the times that it didn't even come with trigger warnings.
