Rainbow is an uplifting, enchanting, magical fable set in Rajasthan that reinforces the belief that life is beautiful. The story revolves around the wonderful relationship between a 10-year old girl Pari and Chotu, her 8-year old brother who live in a picturesque village nestled among the sand dunes. Having lost their parents to an accident at a very early age, they live with their uncle and aunt. Chotu is blind but he is anything but sad. Happy, precocious and a smart ass, he is the life of the village.Pari is his eyes, his guide and his best friend. And Chotu is the center of Pari's universe. As children sometimes do, not truly understanding the consequences, Pari has promised Chotu that he will be able to see by the time he turns 9 and as always, Chotu believes her unconditionally. On their weekly trip to the neighboring village to see a movie, Pari sees a poster with Sharukh Khan (SRK) appealing to people to donate their eyes. Pari is convinced that her reel life hero can help her... Written by Nagesh Kukunoor

Pari and Chhotu are shown die-hard fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan respectively. Both male actors mentioned have had a tiff in past years and were not working together - let alone meet each other. It's a talent rivalry which almost any Indian will have - of loving only on of either and never be a fan of both. But when they make-up two years ago, it was a big news to Bollywood world and now they both are working again together in many small projects and can also be seen together. See more »

A Beautiful Movie one must watch.
24 June 2016 | by rahulbunkar90See all my reviews

What can i say about this masterpiece. All I can says is that this Movie is Bollywood's reply to Hollywood's Movie "Its a wonderful Life" and French Movie "Life is Beautiful". The lead actors, the Kids and his sister are amazing in the movie, all the supporting actors left their impression and brought their characters to life. Music and Script is top notch. Finally amazing Direction by Nagesh Kukunoor. This movie made me laugh, cry, smile, giggle, sad and really really happy. The journey Chotu and Pari take feels like our own journey and feels like we are traveling with them. And all the people they meet on their journey showcase the complete spectrum of people we can find in real life. The Sweet and Sour Rivalry between Chotu and Pari for their respective favorite superstar Shahrukh and Salman also keeps audience giggling throughout the movie. A MUST WATCH.
