Storyline

In the summer of 2013, the Bronx Artist Documentary Project began coordinating a borough-wide collaborative documentation of 80 Bronx-based visual artist at work, by 30 Bronx-based photographers. The first public exhibition of the photographs was presented at the Andrew Freedman Home in September 2014, as part of the Bronx County Centennial (1914-2014) celebrations. The photographs capture the vibrancy, spirit and wide ranging forms of visual expression occurring every day in the Bronx. This documentary provides a look into the BxADP with selected interviews, photo sessions and a look into the unique and creative work spaces of the artists in and around the Bronx.
