Constant mind-thinking ability is what you need when you're watching this movie.
30 July 2016 | by tomholland2016See all my reviews

I watched The Shallows two times in a day. It's the greatest shark movie in my opinion. The VFX put into the movie is purely great, especially the shark. I can't name any movie that has the same astounding image of the shark which is apparently a colossal giant stalking a girl to an extremely eerie extent.

It needs you to have a constant mind-thinking ability when you're watching, that's mainly the objective of the movie. This is not the typical shark movies out there (Please don't count Sharknado or any animal affiliation vs., those suck so bad you need a million punches hit in your face), the plot is highly interesting. To put it short, a daughter who is a med student visits her mother's favorite beach after her recent death. The beach is hidden in a secret location, which people seldom come about. Then, from nowhere, a mundane activity on a beach comes into a dangerous event when a man-eating shark (greedy too) coordinates a place for his own good coincidence luck.

The final 20 minutes would consume you into the dark almost-stormy night. The dour tone in the background adds a more suspenseful imagery if you have the time to meticulously watch the movie, the double 10 mins would surely suck you into the world, thinking if you're that girl, what would you do?

Highly recommend this to people who are loving the idea to generate powerful survival skills, if you love to surf or wander into the deep of the sea.

Let me remind you, I'm very hard to give high stars. 68% for the professional rating is already as pure as water.
