Dora goes to school and lives in Playa Verde, which is a city. Together with the explorer girls Emma, Kate, Naiya, and Alana and her only male companion, Pablo, Dora and her friends work together and go on amazing adventures while discovering the secrets of their city. Dora has a magical charm bracelet and a smart phone, complete with an app version of the previous Map to aid her. Her friend Kate is fond of drama, while Emma loves music. When the news came out saying that they were gonna bring Dora back, but that they were gonna re make her, making her older. I had mix feelings about it, specially after I saw the picture of the new older Dora. But I wanted to think that it was all for the better, and that kids that grew up watching Dora get to have an older Dora. After watching the show with my 2 year old little girl, who prefers to see this new Dora, I can say that all in all is an OK show. Is simple and to the point, lots of singing, which is what must kids are in to now days. I also love the diversity of Dora's friends. They all look so different and have different hobbies. I can't wait to see what more
