Amid increasing global interest in films and TV series from Turkey, Berlin-based distribution and sales company Af-Media — which specializes in Turkish movies — is expanding beyond its core markets to new territories across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and possibly even South America.

Launched by Ali Fidan in 2011, Af-Media is a leading distributor of Turkish films in Germany — home to an estimated 3.5 million people of Turkish origin, the lion’s share of the approximately 5 million living in Europe — as well as in France, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland and the U.K.

The company is now moving to other European markets and key overseas territories in the Middle East and Asia, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, which recently ended a 35-year ban on movie theaters. “I would be very honored to present our titles in Saudi Arabia, and I’m sure we would attract large audiences,

First Full Trailer for Mysterious Dark Fantasy 'Ayla' Directed by Elias

"You don't see the resemblance?" An official trailer has debuted for a dark fantasy sci-fi thriller titled Ayla, from an American director known only as "Elias". The story is about a man haunted by the mysterious death of his 4-year-old sister, who decides to bring her back to life 30 years later as an adult woman - "obsession becomes flesh". Obviously things turn out a bit weird, and only get weirder, and this trailer definitely hints at that. The cast of Ayla includes Tristan Risk as the titular Ayla, along with Nicholas Wilder, Dee Wallace, Sarah Schoofs, D'Angelo Midili, Bill Oberst Jr., and Andrew Sensenig. The footage in this trailer reminds me of Splice, in a way, which seems to be appropriate comparison. I'm not sure what to make of this, seems like it could be good, but it could also be awful and way too experimental. Check it out. Here's

Screen Anarchy is happy to premiere the first teaser for Ayla, the new film from writer/director Elias Ganster (Gut).    Elton, a man haunted by the mysterious death of his 4-year-old sister, brings her back to life thirty years later as an adult woman, with dire consequences.    It is an interesting teaser, with hints of some body horror going on in there along with glimpses of the always fascinating Tristan Risk. Out of curiousity I looked up the meaning of her character's name Ayla. It is Hebrew and Turkish in origin and could either mean oak tree, halo or moonlight. I cannot say if any of that ends up being intentional on Ganster's part but nature does appear to weigh in thematically here, as...

From there, we could explore how this object changes the characters and their relationships with one another.

I love alien abduction stories,
